The Hong Kong International Conducting Competition

  • was for conductors under the age of 35 to establish a network in Asia.

  • features an international jury panel made up of conductors and people shaping the music business today.

  • has attracted 310 applications from 49 countries/regions. The 16 chosen candidates conducted Hong Kong Sinfonietta and competed in the Competition in January 2018.

  • was complemented by a conducting workshop hosted by jury members in the week following the competition.
