French conductor Victor Jacob graduated with distinction in June 2015 from the Royal Academy of Music, and is currently pursuing another Master at Conservatoire National de Paris with Alain Altinoglu. After developing his passion for music at an early age through studying the violin, he continued singing and piano at the French National Public Radio children’s choir La Maîtrise de Radio France, where he received the conducting training of Toni Ramon and Sofi Jeannin. He went on to complete his BMus at Paris La Sorbonne and his Solfege advanced degree at Conservatoire de Paris. Jacob had the opportunity to study orchestra conducting under the leadership of Neil Thomson, Marin Alsop (Saõ Paulo) and Bernard Haitink (Lucerne Festival). He is Assistant Conductor at La Maîtrise de Radio France and is regularly invited to prepare the adult choir as well. He has been assisting Nathalie Stutzmann for Wagner’s Tannhaüser at Opera de Monte-Carlo, Sofi Jeannin conducting Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, and Paolo Arrivabeni conducting Aïda with Orchestre National de France. He is also founder of Ensemble Nouvelles Portées in Paris with Marc Hajjar, and conducts Debussy’s Pelleas et Melisande with La Petite Maison company. Jacob is laureate of SAFRAN Music Foundation.
